My quilt journey started in Japan when I discovered a traditional fabric that took my breath away. With no internet back then, patterns and textiles were found in markets and old magazines. I began sewing every day, learning patience from thread and reverence for texture. Over time, my pieces grew into mini quilts, bags and the “Early Spring” collection.

For me, every stitch is an act of calm — a small meditation. At Quilt Japan Studio I design kits, PDF patterns and classes to share that feeling: simplicity, technique and the warmth of handmade.

Today I share two moments: the old photo that remembers the beginning and the modern studio photo. Same passion, different light.

Mi camino con los quilts comenzó en Japón, cuando encontré una tela tradicional que me dejó sin palabras. No tenía internet; los patrones y las telas se encontraban en mercados y revistas antiguas. Empecé a coser cada día, aprendiendo de la paciencia del hilo y del respeto por la textura. Con el tiempo, mis piezas fueron creciendo: mini quilts, bolsas y, finalmente, la colección “Early Spring”.

Cada puntada es para mí un acto de calma — una pequeña meditación. En Quilt Japan Studio diseño kits, patrones en PDF y clases para compartir ese sentir: la sencillez, la técnica y la calidez de lo hecho a mano.

Hoy quiero compartir contigo dos momentos: la foto antigua que me recuerda los inicios, y la foto moderna desde mi taller. Son la misma pasión, diferente luz.

私のキルトの道は、日本で伝統的な布に出会ったときに始まりました。まだインターネットが普及していない頃、パターンや布は市場や古い雑誌の中にありました。毎日縫い続け、糸から忍耐を学び、素材への敬意を育てました。やがて作品はミニキルトや巾着、そして「アーリースプリング」コレクションへと育ちました。

私にとって、一針一針は静けさの行為であり、小さな瞑想です。Quilt Japan Studio では、その感覚を共有するためにキット、PDFパターン、クラスをデザインしています。
